A. is not in any of the standard biographical dictionaries or authority files. M. Semeraro has recently suggested that the name, which is known only from his supposed authorship of the ‘Tractatus de Tormentis’ in TUI 1584, t. 11.1, is a corruption of Albertus de Cremona, i.e., Albertus Gandinus. |
