Biography/Description

J. was born in Orléans or Dampierre (dép. Aube) sometime in the second half of the 15th century. He was professor of canon law at the university of Orléans from at least 1508 until 1531, when he became official and vicar general of Antoine Duprat, the archbishop of Sens, a position in which he served until his death in 1534. Three of his works were printed: (1) two repetitiones on the decretals, (2) De dignitate et potestate legati, and (3) De sponsalibus et matrimoniis (TUI 1584, t. 9).
