Johannes Ferrarius Montanus |
1485/6–1558 |
|
Alternative Names |
Johannes Ferrarius; Joannes Ferrarius, Montani |
Biography/Description |
J. devoted most of his life to the newly-founded university of Marburg. His legal writings are serious, but the fact that he changed his name and added ‘Montanus’, probably a reference to his place of birth, suggests that he was not without a lighter side. |
