Biography/Description

Johannes began studying law in Paris in 1320 and was teaching there in 1328. He bore the title of magister from 1329. Johannes became a papal chaplain at Avignon in 1335.In 1339 he gained a prebend from the Church of Notre Dame in Paris and held the ofice of auditor causarum palatii apostolici. He also served the French king in the Parlement of Paris.
