Biography/Description

We have been unable to confirm O.’s death date, which appears in Italian Edit16. It is, however, possible, since the first edition of his De decretis (Perugia 1574), which seems to be his only published work, was written, as he says in the dedicatory epistle to one ‘Petrus Ursinus’ (doubtless a member of the well-known noble family of the Orsini), while he was still a student at the university of Perugia. In that epistle O. describes himself as coming from Gagli (in the Marche).
