Biography/Description |
The dates frequently given for M.’s life, 1506–1567, are wrong. After having taught civil law at Pavia, M. became a cleric in 1561, turned his attention to canon law, moved to Rome where he served as one of the Correctores romani, but died with only one of three planned volumes on the institutes of canon law published. |
