Biography/Description

A man with this name appears on a guest list of the Apostolic Chamber in 1468/69. A. Esch, Wege nach Rom: Annäherungen aus zehn Jahrhunderten (München 2003) 42. Although Esch identifies him as German, the toponym suggests Alford, Lincs., in England. The identification of this Johannes, however, with the author of additiones to the Clementines is speculative.
