Biography/Description

A gloss apparatus of the Anglo-Norman school found in the margins of a Decretum manuscript now in Antwerp. The apparatus comprises the main layer of glosses in the manuscript. Its opening was erased; the glosses are heaviest up through C.26, then become scarcer at the end of the manuscript. Composed between the Third Lateran Council and Compilatio prima.
