Biography/Description

On the Decretum were produced in the 1160’s and 1170’s. R. Weigand, has shown that the manuscripts use this siglum consistently, although it may refer in some of them to Bazianus, in others to Bernardus of Pavia. Weigand further believes that the author of the b.-glosses in MS Pommersfelden 142 was a third Bolognese canonist, not to be identified with either Bernard or Bazianus.
