Biography/Description

Nicolaus is mentioned in Johannes Andreae’s additiones to the Speculum of Guilelmus Durantis (de accusat. § sequitur uidere s.v. Quid), by Albericus de Rosate (Statut. P.IV q.39, 45, and 89), and by Diplovatatius (219). He was a Roman and a cardinal at some point during Albericus’ working life. Diplovatatius identified him with Nicolaus de Tuberto. Schulte identified him with Nicolaus Capellanus.
