[001] without his consent, as he says. And unless he does so etc. If by the bailiff of the lord [002] king while one is in the king's prison, then thus:
If by a bailiff against the will of the lord.
[004] The king to the sheriff, greeting. Order such a one that rightfully etc. he render to [005] such a one so much land with the appurtenances in such a vill which he claims is his [006] right and inheritance and in which the aforesaid has no entry except through such a [007] one, once our bailiff, who demised it to him while he [the demandant] was in our prison [008] and his land in our hand, as he says. And unless he does so etc. If one [has his entry] [009] through a man who has committed felony, if it is after the felony and he is then convicted, [010] this writ for recovering his escheat lies for the lord of whom he held.
Writ if a felon aliens after the felony committed.
[012] The king to the sheriff, greeting. Order A. that rightfully etc. he render to B. so much [013] land with the appurtenances in such a vill in which the same A. has no entry except [014] through C. of N. who held that land of the aforesaid B., which land ought to be the [015] escheat of the said B. because of the felony of which the same C. in our court before us [016] (or our justices, such persons) was convicted and condemned, which land the same [017] C. demised to the aforesaid A. after he had committed the aforesaid felony, as the [018] said B. says. And unless he does so etc. (as above). If one has his entry through one [019] who held in vilieinage, the lord is then aided by this writ:
Writ if a villein aliens the land he holds in villeinage.
[021] The king to the sheriff, greeting, Order such a one that rightfully etc. he render to [022] such a one so much land with the appurtenances in such a vill in which the aforesaid [023] has no entry except through such a one who held it of the aforesaid in villeinage, as he [024] says. And unless he does so, summon etc. (as above). If one has his entry through one [025] who is non compos mentis, not of sane mind, then thus:
Writ if by one who was not of sound mind.

Order such a one that rightfully etc. and in which he [028] has no entry except through such a one, the father (or other ancestor) of the aforesaid, [029] whose heir he is, who demised it to him while he was not of sound mind (or while he [030] was not compos nor of sound mind) as he says. And unless he does so etc. (as above). [031] If by one who holds only for his life, in whatever way, in the name of dower or by the [032] law of England or by fine levied, then thus:
If through one who held only for life, in whatever way.
