Biography/Description

Mentioned in DGI 1.771 as the son of Roberta, daughter of Dionigi Barigiani (c. 1347 c. 1424), who married Baldo II degli Ubaldi. N. was the son of Baldo II, who was the son of Matteo, another brother of Baldo, Angelo, and Pietro degli Ubaldi. N. was an auditor of the Roman Rota and engaged in various diplomatic missions for the pope. In addition to the two Tractatus ab intestato (TUI 1584 t. 8.1), he is mentioned as the author of decisions of the Rota. G. B. Vermiglioli also mentions manuscript consilia that were in his time at Lucca.
