[001] a suitable parson to the same church, unless there is one other than the aforesaid B. [002] who opposes a lawful impediment to the presentation of the said A. Witness etc. [003] If, when the bishop or other ordinary has received a royal order to admit a clerk to [004] a church, he does not admit the clerk, on the complaint of the presenting patron let [005] the bishop be summoned to appear before the justices to show why he does not [006] admit, by this writ.

[to show] why he did not admit a clerk. [008] The king to the sheriff, greeting. If A. has made you secure with respect to the [009] prosecution of his claim, then summon by good summoners such a bishop to be before [010] our justices at such a place on such a day to show why, on the presentation of the [011] same A., he did not, on our order, admit a suitable parson to such a church, the [012] advowson of which the aforesaid A. recovered against B. in our same court before [013] our same justices by judgment of our same court (or by a fine levied between them [014] or by an assise of darrein presentment taken between them, or by some other [015] means). [020] which is vacant, as it is said, since the same A. recovered seisin of the advowson of [021] the same church against B. before our justices assigned ad hoc by an assise of darrein [022] presentment there taken between them. And have there the summoners etc. A [023] similar writ on the same matter, that is, where a manor with the advowson and its [024] other appurtenances was given [to someone] in maritagium with a daughter and [025] when the church becomes vacant the donor opposes an impediment to the presentation [026] of the donee, the matter having been decided in the court of the lord king, when [027] the bishop or his officials were once ordered to admit a clerk on the presentation of [028] the donee and have done nothing, let the bishop be summoned by this writ.
