Biography/Description

An English canonist who studied and taught at Bologna at the end of the 12th and beginning of the 13th century. He compiled a collection of decretals and wrote glosses to it. He should not be confused with the famous physician, Gilbertus Anglicus (d. c.1250), the author of the Compendium medicinae.
