Jacobus Lanfranchinus

?15th c.

Alternative Names

Jacobus Lanfranchinus Veronensis

Biography/Description

CERL Thesaurus tells us that J. wrote additiones for juristic works other than Quaestiones in materia arbitrorum (TUI 1584 t. 3.1). The date that it offers for J., 1590, seems too late for an author who is already recorded in Tractatus 1549. Finding J., however, has so far evaded us. Schulte 2.392 briefly mentions a 15th-century canonist named Lanfranchinus. The name is not common, but Schulte’s Lanfranchinus came from Trani, and Trani is a long way from Verona.
