Alternative Names

Bernardino Rutilio

Biography/Description

The planned DBI biography of Rutilio, Bernadino, 1504–1540, giurista, is not yet available online. B. is mentioned in Girolamo Tiraboschi’s Storia della letteratura italiana (Venezia 1795–6) 7.4.1482. Tiraboschi thinks of B. as a philologian (grammatico). He says that B. came from Cologna Veneta (prov. Verona), and attributes to him, in addition to the Vitae (TUI 1584 t. 1), a Decuria of remarks on various Latin authors and notes on the letters of Cicero.
